Trends of 2021 easing in 2022

A. Hartrodt presented the figures for the 2021 financial year recently. They contain unique records "in the company's history since 1887", the company says.

Revenues from the forwarding segment benefited from higher freight rates and, with an additional increase in orders, rose by 56.4% to EUR 742 million, as Andreas Schrön, chief financial officer (CFO) at the company’s Management Holding in Hamburg, explained. Regionally, the markets in Asia (+4.7%) and South America (+2.0%) increased within the group's portfolio.

Despite turbulence on the world market, the generational change in management from Andreas Wenzel to his son Felix Wenzel was implemented. With around 2,000 employees stable worldwide, the holding company's trio of managing directors - Jan van Tienhoven, Felix Wenzel, Andreas Schrön – is set to continue with Hartrodt's expansion strategy. "We want to grow in all regions, both through smaller acquisitions and with new products, for example for combined transport," says Schrön. A.Hartrodt expects to generate sales of EUR 830 million 2022.
