Transuniverse appoints agent in Italy
Logistics and transport companies Italmondo, Arluno (Italy) and Transuniverse Forwarding, Wondelgem (Ghent, Belgium), which specialise in providing groupage transport services in their respective countries, have entered into a strategic partnership.
Italmondo thus becomes the exclusive agent of Transuniverse Forwarding in Italy, organising the import/export shuttle service to and from all the branches and the relevant distribution between the two countries.
This new partnership will allow Transuniverse to further improve its services to and from Italy, one of its main markets. Currently, the company provides more than 35 weekly departures to the country.
"Italmondo has distribution platforms throughout Italy, thanks to which we will be able to carry out direct services from Wondelgem to the largest Italian cities and industrial centres, while today groupage shipments have to be transhipped at our cross-dock centre in Milan,” said Olivia Adins, member of the board of directors at Transuniverse, in a press release.
