Transco founds new customs business
Transco established an independent customs services company on 1 January, expanding on its existing customs unit. Dubbed Transco Customs Solutions, the new company will comprise Transco’s previous activities in the field as well as those of Almundus Customs Services. This reorganisation comes on the back of heightened demand for such services.
Under the new structure, Transco can expand customs clearance capabilities and work on digital solutions leveraging AI. This can help it find optimal ways to work with the strict regulatory frameworks in place.
The new enterprise’s head, Julian Gräble is convinced that “the new structure offers clear advantages. Our processes will become leaner, we can bundle our expertise and guarantee smoother processes even with larger volumes, thanks to our larger team.” (mk)
