Transcargo to become cargo-partner
With the signing of the contract on 16 February 2021, cargo-partner has taken over the Dutch company Transcargo. The financial details were not disclosed. The Austrians began their partnership with the Dutch company in May 2020 with an office and warehouse in Roermond, the Netherlands.
Transcargo focuses on logistics, value-added services and overland services. Stefan Krauter, CEO of the cargo-partner group, spoke of the "first complete acquisition in our history."
In the Benelux countries, the group has now added third location to its network, in addition to the offices opened last year at Liège Airport and in Roermond. The new warehouse, with 17,000 sqm of storage space, will be used as a European distribution centre for regional and global logistics. (sh)
