Trains deliver steel from Italy to Austria
Marcegaglia and the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group are going to be extend their partnership again this year and add one more train per week. The trains transport steel products from the Italian industrial company to Austria and on to the Austrian market.
These rail services take a significant number of heavy trucks off the roads, which saves the climate from 3,800 t of CO2 emissions a year.
The return services to San Stino di Livenza and its re-launch as a logistics hub brings a great deal of added value to the collaboration and encourages the implementation of in-house services. The ÖBB RCG’s logistics centre in San Stino di Livenza is a key hub for freight transport in in Italy. (ben)
