Train service links Rotterdam with Northern Italy
Belgium-based operator CLDN Cargo has been offering intermodal transport services between Northern Europe and Italy with its own fleet of 5,500 trailer and container units for more than five years. The operator is now taking further steps to expand its Italian portfolio.
CLDN Cargo launched its own intermodal rail connection between Rotterdam and Montirone (Italy) on Monday, 14 February 2022. Initially, the service will operate three times a week connecting CLdN’s own Rotterdam ro-ro terminal with the Magli Intermodal Service (MIS) Terminal in Montirone, 13 km south of Brescia. CLDN Cargo will deploy its own trailer and containers combined with other types of equipment sourced by its forwarding division on this route. (ben)
