Tool to drive decarbonisation of supply chains
In accordance with the current EU climate programme "Fit for 55", emissions trading will also apply to the logistics sector as from 2026. The digital freight platform Transporeon has developed a new technical solution to measure and assess greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated in the supply chain.
With this software, users can accurately measure and report their footprint in the logistics chain. The tool integrates and automates the management of GHG emissions through the use of its real-time transparency features, which allows for more accurate data entry (e.g. in fuel consumption) for accurate GHG calculation, Transporeon said.
