To Aurora Borealis with Austrian Airlines
On 17 December, Austrian Airlines is starting a new direct service between Vienna and Tromsø, northern Norway. Avinor, the Oslo-based company that runs 44 state-owned airports, considers this to be “yet another strengthening of the Lufthansa Group’s commitment to northern Norway as a destination.”
Flemming Nordestgaard, the general manager of Lufthansa Group Norway, pointed out that his group “first started services to Tromsø in November 2017 and since then we’ve increased our frequencies significantly.”
The group already flies to Tromsø from Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf and Zurich (since 16 November). (ah)
