TIL to become sole owner of MCT in Gioia Tauro
Contship Italia and Itaterminaux, an affiliate of Terminal Investment (TIL), have inked a share purchase agreement concerning the sale of 50% of CSM Italia Gate, the company which owns 100% of MCT (Medcenter container terminal).
MCT is the concessionaire of container terminal activities in the port of Gioia Tauro (Italy), and TIL already owns 50% of CSM Italia Gate. The parties involved did not disclose the price and terms of the agreement. Regulatory approvals are still pending.
If the deal is approved, TIL will own 100% of CSM Italia Gate and have indirect control of all the shares of MCT. Contship Italia expressed its gratitude to all MCT employees, customers, suppliers and partners, including TIL, who supported the container terminal activities in Gioia Tauro. The terminal was launched by Contship 24 years ago. (kd)
