Three more locomotives for European network
AWT, which is based in Czechia, has signed a contract to lease three Siemens Vectron A17 multisystem locomotives. The locomotives will be handed over to AWT in the middle of 2019.
AWT currently runs a total of seven multisystem locomotives, which are used mainly for international transport in Europe. It also uses multisystem locomotives from its Polish parent company PKP Cargo for domestic and international traffic.
The new Vectrons are designed for railfreight, their power is 6.4 MW, and they have a maximum speed of 160 km/h. (ben)
