THPA reviews job expansion in ministerial visit
The Greek deputy minister for social security, Konstantinos Karagkounis, visited the port of Thessaloniki (THPA) on 5 September 2024, where he discussed the company's employment growth since its 2018 privatisation.
Executive chairman Athanasios Liagkos and CEO Ioannis Tsaras highlighted the socio-economic impact of the port, emphasising vocational training and new job creation.
Karagkounis stressed the importance of communication with employee representatives and expressed hope for more job opportunities. Both parties acknowledged the strong cooperation between THPA and the ministry of labour and social security. (pb)
