This road leads to Rome
Germany-based Arvato Supply Chain Solutions (Ascs) has acquired the Italian logistics service provider Quickly which is headquartered in Anagni near Rome.
The supply chain and e-commerce service provider has been active in Italy since 2004 and operates two logistics centres in the Bergamo region covering a total space of around 40,000 sqm.
Antonio Amati, managing director of Ascs in Italy: "With the new company we are strengthening our presence in the third largest logistics market in the EU."
As part of the transaction, which was completed on 1 July 2022, Arvato also took over the approximately 14,000 sqm site in Anagni and all 102 employees. The Anagni location handles supply chain operations for Avon. This cosmetics company has been part of Natura & Co, an international beauty group, since 2020.
The acquisition also includes Callmewine - an e-commerce platform for wine and spirits in Italy. Arvato will handle the logistics business for this customer at its location in Telgate near Bergamo in future. (sh)
