Third financing round for French airship solution

Flying Whales, the company behind the industrial programme "LCA60T", created with the aim to develop a heavy-lift airship solution, has received EUR 122 million in funding from the French government, the Principauté de Monaco and its historical shareholders including the Québec government, Air Liquide's venture capital fund Aliad and ADP Group.

Société Générale Assurances and several private investors are joining the transaction. Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bougon: "The aeronautical programme and its industrial implementation are well underway. The development activities for the future airline and airport company will be mature enough in 2023 to be spun off into a subsidiary, and thus accelerate both our already promising commercial activities and the implementation of the resources necessary for future operations."
