The family-owned company, Zürcher Kies und Transport, is a prominent player in Switzerland’s heavylift and special transport industry.
Although the company became part of the Eberhard construction group at the beginning of 2019, Zürcher Kies will remain an independent brand and Andi Zürcher and Walter Schwarzkopf will retain their seats on the board of directors. The firm will continue to invest under the Eberhard umbrella.
On top of that, Andi Zürcher recently received a new vehicle combination. He had been searching for a vehicle in the 100 t class in order to provide solutions for a range of transport requirements. Zürcher decided to go for the Goldhofer nine-axle STZ-VP (285) combination system with two additional bridges, a flatbed and an excavator bridge.
Zürcher said: "The new vehicle enables us to transport construction equipment, and it also pushes us into a new payload dimension, thus opening up more business fields for us." (mw)
