Testing refuse collection by e-truck
Pöppel recently received a new battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 with a waste collection body from the manufacturer Terberg HS. Pöppel is a family-owned haulier specialising in waste management and city cleaning with a focus on sustainability. It is based in Regensburg (Germany).
The all-electric vehicle will initially be used for an internal test run from June 2024 and is scheduled to go into regular service from January 2025, travelling 150 to 180 km a day. A separate charging infrastructure will be operational from August 2024. (ben)
