Testing e-vehicles in Hamburg

The first three Nikola Tre battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in Europe have started their demonstration phase at the German port in Hamburg.

The BEV is a completely redesigned electric vehicle. The deployment of the zero-emission, fully electric heavy-duty semitrailer tractors for transport and logistics is part of the port authority's plan to become a zero-emission port.

The first phase will start with a three-month test operation of the vehicles including various charging options. In the second phase, the BEV will be fully integrated into the port’s operations, the installation of the charging infrastructure and the associated services involving the most important suppliers.
