Testing e-trucks in Europe
Cargo-Partner is trialling e-trucks on the first and last mile. A Mercedes-Benz eActros-300 with a range of 250-300 km was recently put through its paces in Austria: The vehicle was deployed for emission-free and silent collection and delivery tours around Vienna airport and transported an average of 5.5 t of freight per day.
In Slovakia, Cargo-Partner tested the 3.1 t Fuso eCanter with a range of up to 200 km for a fortnight. The vehicle completed daily journeys within Bratislava and between Bratislava and Dunajska Streda, Vienna and Fischamend (both Austria). Cargo-Partner is now planning to extend the trialling to Central and Eastern Europe. (ben)
