Test train run Taijuan – Paris in 24 days
Together with its Chinese and European partners, Transcontainer of Delo Group has arranged a test block train dispatch from Taiyuan city (Shanxi province, China) to Paris (France) via Mongolia, Russia and Belarus.
The freight train carrying 50 containers loaded with consumer goods, construction material and electronics was dispatched from Taiyuan and arrived at its destination in France after a 24 day long journey.
Transcontainer provided the rolling stock for transporting the shipment over the 1,520 mm gauge area and arranged transportation from the Zamyn-Uud border-crossing point to the Brest/Malaszewicze border-crossing point on the Polish frontier. Now the partners are evaluating whether to run the train on a regular basis. (ben)
