Terminal operator rebranded
Carrix, a marine terminal operator based in the USA and the Americas, has rebranded Ceres Terminals (Ceres) as SSA Marine. Announced in January 2024, this move is a follow-up to the acquisition revealed in September 2023. The integration expands SSA Marine's coverage in North America, particularly in the Gulf and Atlantic regions.
Uffe Ostergaard, CEO of Carrix, commented that the merge between Ceres and SSA Marine is intended to improve operational efficiencies in the companies’ North American terminals.
The Ceres brand will be discontinued, consolidating all operations under the SSA Marine banner and focusing on container, breakbulk, cruise line and auto services. (pb)
