Takeover extends tanker logistics business
The Dutch tank transport specialist Schenk has purchased Suttons Tankers’ division in the UK. Suttons Tankers is a 100-year-old family-owned company specialising in road tanker transport in the UK. It has approximately 875 employees and generates a turnover of EUR 140 million. It will now benefit from Schenk’s experience in Northwest Europe.
However, this transaction does not affect the European and global ISO-tank operations of Suttons International, which remain fully owned by the family, the company said. With this acquisition, Schenk increases its revenues by almost 50% to EUR 440 million. It operates in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. (ben)
