Takeover augments service portfolio in USA
The Canada-based transport company, Bison, has acquired H.O. Wolding, based in Wisconsin, USA. Wolding is a 320-truck, dry van fleet with truckload operations in the USA's Midwest, northeast and southeast regions. Founded in 1935, the company has grown from a one-man milk route to a US-national dry van carrier.
According to Bison, the acquisition represents a strategic investment in US domestic transport services. Wolding will work alongside subsidiary Britton to add scale and provide a wider breadth of services in the USA.
Bison is one of the largest carriers in Canada. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. (ben)
