Synergies between Doha and Kuala Lumpur
Two years after Malaysia Airlines and Qatar Airways concluded an expanded codeshare agreement to offer increased connectivity to their passengers, the Oneworld partners Malaysia Aviation Group and Qatar Airways Group have further expanded their cooperation with the signing of an mou between Maskargo, the cargo airline and subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group, and Qatar Airways Cargo to deliver an enhanced product portfolio to cargo customers and help achieve operational synergies.
The carriers will leverage each other’s network strengths and fleet capacity to increase cargo offerings. They will also be able to use their hubs as strategic stops to serve the combined network.
With its new and expanded cargo terminal in Doha, Quatar Airways Cargo will bring more handling capacities to the partnership. (ah)
