Switzerland: milk runs with all-electric vehicle
Designwerk recently delivered the first all-electric milk van to Zgraggen Transport. With this vehicle, around 93 t of CO2 can be saved annually, making local milk collection in the Swiss canton of Uri emission-free, the two companies said.
The vehicle covers a distance of 330 km daily, or 120,000 km per annum. This is the third Designwerk e-truck that Zgraggen Transport has put into operation, in addition to the two existing High Cab Semi 6x2T semitrailers, each with 900 kWh battery capacity.
The vehicles can be recharged directly at the company site, using electricity from Zgraggen’s own solar power and wood gasification plant. (ben)
