Swiss wood transporter expands vehicle fleet
Swiss wood transporter Schilliger in Küssnacht am Rigi recently took delivery of a new semitrailer manufactured by Renault. The T520 T4x2 High truck with sleeper cab complements the company's vehicle fleet that comprises about twenty heavy-duty trucks.
Schilliger will use the new semitrailer for national and international transports. As a special technical feature, the new unit has a hydraulically moveable axle. Depending on the trailer, this avoids exceeding the axle load, which is an important issue particularly for combined traffic with 44 t of total weight.
Schilliger is a family business founded in 1861. It runs two locations in Switzerland and a branch in France. (ben)
