Swiss alliance for global airfreight continues
Switzerland's leisure travel airline Edelweiss, represented by CEO Bernd Bauer (right), and Swiss World Cargo, the freight division of Swiss International Air Lines, represented by its head Ashwin Bhat, have agreed to continue the close partnership which they have enjoyed since 2009.
The agreement, effective since the beginning of 2019, will see Swiss World Cargo continue to market and sell the freight capacity of the sister company of Swiss International Air Lines.
Both companies will benefit from the expanding Edelweiss network, while pursuing additional global growth opportunities. Swiss World Cargo will retain responsibility for managing the belly cargo of the entire Swiss International Air Lines and Edelweiss fleets on all applicable routes. (ah)
