Sustainable warehouse in Wesel
Rhenus Warehousing Solutions recently celebrated the opening of a new business site at the Rhine/Lippe port of Wesel, Germany. Covering 86,000 sqm, the logistics building fulfils all the conditions for gaining Breeam Excellent certification.
It is setting new standards in terms of energy and environmental protection as part of Rhenus' "Green Gate to Europe" policy. Four sections of the building, located between the Ruhr region and the Dutch border, are also designed for WGK3 usage (for products that are extremely hazardous to water supplies).
Branch manager Henning Brands: "Rhenus is actively playing a role in strengthening the region by creating new jobs both in the industrial and commercial sectors. We also place great importance on developing our employees and therefore opening up opportunities for them and for the company."
