Superdry gets new UK partner
Superdry has contracted Bleckmann to take over its UK logistics operations. The companies have been cooperating in the European market since 2007 and are now expanding their partnership.
Based out of ‘The Duke’ site in Burton on Trent, Bleckmann will manage logistics solutions and expects to attract new customers to the warehouse. As part of the deal, around 170 employees will be transferred to Bleckmann; however, no redundancies are planned for the move.
After a successful 17-year partnership on the European mainland, Superdry now looks forward to working with the logistics provider in the UK as of 1 July. “I am delighted that Bleckmann has now become our global logistics provider. This is a partnership that goes from strength to strength,” says Julian Dunkerton, founder and CEO, Superdry. (mk)
