STS and RTG make hay while the sun shines
At its Las Palmas container terminal, Operaciones Portuarias Canarias (OPCSA) recently concluded an agreement that comprises a Kalmar complete care service contract covering the terminal's ship-to-shore (STS) and rubber tired gantry (RTG) cranes.
Established in 1986, OPCSA operates the largest terminal in the Port of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, a major stepping stone for traffic between Europe, Africa and South America. In addition to the STS and RTG cranes covered by the service contract, the company's fleet also features Kalmar reachstackers and empty container handlers. (cd)
