Strengthening Hamburg’s position in Asia

The port of Hamburg liaison office in China (HHR Shanghai) welcomed a new leader on 1 January, when Lars Anke took over as chief representative. Anke’s no stranger to representing Hamburg in China, having previously headed the office from 2006 to 2019.

His predecessor Pan Hua has chosen to step down from her leadership role, after several years at the helm of the Shanghai office. She’ll remain with the team as senior vice-president, however, continuing her active role fostering relations between Hamburg and Asia.

In other news, Ye Miaomiao, a team member since 2011, was appointed deputy chief representative. With her experience in marketing, media and public relations, and social media, Ye brings her expertise and a comprehensive understanding of HHR’s mission to her new position. (cj)
