Strengthening e-fulfilment partnership
BP Post Group is acquiring all shares of Active Ants, a subsidiary active in automated e-fulfilment for online stores. The takeover is in line with the strategic partnership that the two companies signed in 2018. The aim is to support e-commerce by providing end-to-end solutions to online stores.
Active Ants offers warehousing, order picking and packing solutions, and pairing employees and robots on the work floor. This end-to-end approach fits in with its partner’s cross-border activities and complements the tailor-made fulfilment services offered by Radial, also a member of the BP Post Group.
Active Ants’ e-fulfilment centre in Willebroek, Belgium, was enlarged in April in reponse to the rising demand for logistics support from online stores. The company processes millions of orders for online stores. Bram Blondé assumed his position as CEO of Active Ants on 21 August 2023. (mk)
