Streck invests in general cargo segment
Streck Transport is strengthening its position in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland and acquiring the groupage division of forwarder Spedition Fecht in Meskirch, Baden-Würtemberg, on 1 June 2023.
In addition to the groupage business with 28 employees, Streck will also take over the logistics property which is built on a 39,000 sqm site and features a cargo handling area of 3,000 sqm. Fecht will retain the truck-only business for full loads with 25 employees.
Streck will continue to develop the Messkirch location and create new jobs in the process, the forwarder says. The connection to its European land transport network and its global air and sea freight services with subsidiaries at Frankfurt Airport will make it even easier for companies in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region to maintain and develop their networks with their customers worldwide, Streck adds.
