Stepping up truck production in France
The company Perren rent has taken over Renault Trucks’ workshop brand representation for the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. In France, truck production at the Renault plants is slowly restarting under strict safety precautions after grinding sown to a standstill on 18 March due to the corona pandemic.
The Lyon-Venissieux engine plant is the first to restart, the other Renault Trucks sites will gradually ramp up their production capacities over the next few weeks, the manufacturer said. Despite Covid-19, Renault Trucks kept other business sectors, such as customer service, up and running, primarily through the supply of spare parts and through the regular service and repairs provided by workshops.
