Stepping into Switzerland anew
It is an expansion along the Rhine valley. The MBS Logistics Group, a global freight forwarder headquartered in Cologne, is launching its first branch in Zurich on 1 July 2023. The new Swiss unit, called MBS Logistics and operating from Zurich airport, will offer air, sea and road freight forwarding services.
"Entering the Swiss market is a strategic move that aligns with our corporate growth objectives,” said Joerg Roehl, CEO of MBS Holding, who considers this new establishment a milestone for the company's further international expansion.
The country organisation will be led by Fabian Heil, who joined MBS on 1 June 2023 as managing director Switzerland. He has gained experience in a number of positions in the Swiss logistics industry. One part of the new branch's portfolio will be time-critical delivery services by land or air, ranging from on-board courier services to charter options. (cd)
