Special truck for innovative cargo
Delivering innovations with customised equipment – this how the most recent activity of Salzmann, a Swiss transport company, could be described. The newest vehicle to join the fleet is a three-axle container chassis of Krone’s box liner eL20 model used to convey 20' containers.
The new box liner is currently being deployed to perform transports for the Berne-based start-up Neustark. With the support of the Swiss federal office for the environment (FOEN) and the Swiss climate foundation, Neustark has developed an innovative procedure for the long-term storage of CO2 in concrete.
The procedure, which has already received several rewards, is to be used in concrete recycling plants in future and transform CO2 permanently into limestone.
Salzmann takes over logistics services for Neustark for the transport of liquefied and refrigerated CO2 in especially insulated tank containers. (ben)
