Special air freight sets off from Ukraine
Established in 2002 and aiming to become one of the Ukraine’s most respected freight forwarding companies specialising in air, ocean and truck services, Kiy Avia Cargo shows its know-how in the handling of special cargo.
Operations manager Yuliya Yarmulska: "We regularly deal with the transportation of 1 to 5 paintings as a batch, but we recently handled a shipment of 23 paintings in one crate as well as a sculpture in a separate crate. The paintings were framed and we had to make special crating and ensure they were secure inside. The shipment was destined for Singapore and as we have no direct flights there, the handling at a transit airport had to be taken into consideration."
Kiy Avia also recently received their certification for AVI transportation, enabling it to ship live animals by air. (ah)
