Spanish network linked to gateway
Kombiverkehr has rerouted its train services to and from Spain on the Cologne (Germany) - Bayonne (France) / Irun (Spain) axis from Köln-Eifeltor to the DUSS terminal in Duisburg-Ruhrort Hafen (Germany).
Via the Duss terminal, these services and the direct trains between Madrid and Irun have now been linked up with the gateway traffic to Scandinavia, Poland, Czechia Austria and the Benelux countries.
On the Atlantic route, the trains can accommodate containers and swap bodies with C45 and C364 profiles, respectively. P400 trailers continue to be shipped between Barcelona Morrot and the intermodal terminal in Ludwigshafen. Kombiverkehr offers three round trips per week on the new connection. (ben)
