Spanish airline becomes more cargo-friendly

CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing, has delivered the first of two A330-200 aircraft to Spain’s third-leading, long-haul airline Wamos Air. The second aircraft is slated for delivery in June 2019.

In another move to become more cargo-friendly, the former Pullmantur Air has awarded Jettainer with its container management and maintenance. The Wamos Air fleet is primarily used for leisure charter services. Some of these flights are operated on behalf of its sister company Pullmantur Cruises from Madrid airport.

In addition, Wamos is also taking over charter flights for Latam, Avianca and other major carriers. In summer Wamos Air performs charter flights for the airline Condor, which already outsourced its ULD management to Jettainer in 2006. (ah)
