Software optimised during live operations
Inform, a German AI and optimisation specialist, will introduce its 'Integrated Terminal Scheduler' TOS at PSA Belgium's Europe Terminal in Antwerp. The intelligent software is scheduled to go live in 2025.
Terminal operator PSA and the port of Antwerp-Bruges started modernising the Europa Terminal, on the right bank of the river Scheldt, in November 2O22. In the course of this, Inform has helped to optimise handling at the Europa Terminal for PSA.
In the process, however, one third of the terminal will have to be shut down, which will make transhipments more difficult, due to the smaller handling area available. Nevertheless, Eva Savelsberg, Inform's terminal and logistics distribution centre manager, is "convinced that we can make a valuable contribution to optimising transhipment at the Europa Terminal with our software."
