Smartlynx registers first freighter in Malta
Smartlynx, a family member of the Riga (Latvia)-headquartered Avia Solutions Group, has introduced the first freighter aircraft registered in Malta which is also the first of its type to be added to the Smartlynx line-up of A320 and A321. Leased by launch customer Vallair, the converted A321F will be based in Leipzig and operate the daily Linz service of the Express Division of DP DHL Group.
The introduction and Maltese registration of the new aircraft are regarded as setting new standards for Smartlynx and their progression in the freighter market. The narrowbody freighter is perfectly placed to meet the ever-increasing demand for express global cargo transportation.
Smartlynx also has plans to introduce additional A321Fs along with a future target of becoming one of the largest narrowbody cargo freight carriers.
