Short-line railroad to serve cat litter producer
The US short-line railroad Great Western Railway of Colorado (GWR) will provide direct service to a new industrial facility which will be built by Canada-based cat litter producer Intersand in the Great Western Industrial Park (GWIP) in the US-state of Colorado.
Both GWIP and GWR are owned by OmniTRAX, an affiliate of The Broe Group. The GWR operates 130 km of track and interchanges with the two US class I railways BNSF and UP. The planned rail-served production, packaging and distribution facility will be Intersand’s first location in the United States and is the latest addition to GWIP. A number of familiar companies already call rail-served GWIP home. (ben)
