Ship Track has a new owner
The Descartes Systems Group, a Canadian multinational technology company specialising in logistics software, supply chain management software and cloud-based services for logistics companies, has acquired Ship Track, a leading provider of ecommerce final-mile solutions.
The price for the transaction was CAD 25.0 million (approx. USD 19.0 million), plus potential performance-based consideration.
Headquartered close to Ottawa, Ship Track provides cloud-based mobile resource management and shipment tracking solutions. These solutions and the company's platform help customers automate dispatch, updates on shipment status and estimated time of arrival (ETA), and eliminate paper-based delivery processes.
Shawn Winter, co-founder of Ship Track, was promoted to VP mobility solutions at Descartes. (sh)
