Schenker France pushes fleet electrification


In its largest order to date, the haulier is acquiring 53 electric Renault Trucks. The investment follows several tests performed at the company’s French locations.

 

Schenker France will receive 50 electric Renault Trucks E-Tech D of 16 t and three E-Tech D of 19 t, which are scheduled to arrive in batches starting in September 2023. Preparations for the deployment are already underway in 19 metropolitan areas with the installation of electric charging infrastructure, which will be completed by March 2024.

 

Depending on the needs of the company’s branches, these vehicles will carry out urban, suburban, or regional deliveries with an average distance of 150 to 200 km per day. Their average reach is about 300 km. (ben)
