Satellite delivered by An-124-100
Regardless of the war in their home country, the heavy-lift experts at the Ukrainian carrier Antonov Airlines continue to help their customers fly their special cargoes around the globe quickly, safely and efficiently.
Recently they flew Turkey's first geostationary communications satellite, Türksat 6A, from Ankara to Florida for Proair using one of their An-124-100 cargo aircraft.
The valuable satellite was secured in a special container for the airlift aboard the widebody freighter. After arrival at the launching pad, the final transport leg for the satellite will be into space aboard a SpaceX rocket. (dt)
