Romania's E-P Rail banks on transformation
Nexxiot is digitalising E-P Rail's entire fleet. In the coming months, the Swiss IoT company will install IoT sensors in all the Romanian rail company's freight wagons.
Nexxiot will supply around 1,100 gateway devices for the project. These Globehoppers collect data to be processed by Nexxiot's software. The system creates a global transparency and helps E-P Rail to improve operational performance and expand its portfolio.
E-P Rail plans to launch new online freight services already next year. It is one of the eight largest rail companies in Romania. (ben)
