Rhenus India invests in green fleet
The forwarder has launched EV trucks in India to vehicles to augment its local network and extend its existing logistics services for the chemicals and ingredients distributor Brenntag. The introduction of EV trucks is Rhenus India’s latest sustainable logistics initiative.
In 2023, the company installed 350 kilovolt solar panels at its multi-user facility in Bhiwandi, Mumbai. For 2024, it aims to implement up to three solar projects at the new upcoming hub in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra northeast of Mumbai, and specifically for non-chemical clients and multi-user facilities at Gurgaon in the state of Haryana, south of New Dehli.
