Researching autonomous intermodal supply chains

Gruber Logistics is participating in the EU project Autosup (autonomous multimodal supply chains). A multidisciplinary team of 17 European partners aims to transform logistics hubs into seamless, multimodal automated freight transport platforms and thereby advance digitalisation and automation efforts in the industry.

The focus is on connecting the ports of Trieste (Italy) and Antwerp-Bruges (Belgium) with Turkey and Germany via road, rail, inland waterway corridors, and airports. The project will test the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and acceptance of the transport modes' automation solutions. (ben)
