Research to understand and secure supply chains

Production and logistics networks in Austria, Europe and worldwide are facing multiple challenges. The crises of recent years have exposed vulnerabilities in supply chains and transport routes, leading to a multitude of questions on how to design more sustainable and more resilient networks.

The association Verein Netzwerk Logistik (VNL), Wifo, Complexity Science Hub Vienna and Logistikum of the FH Oberösterreich have now founded the Supply Chain Intelligence Institute Austria (ASCII).

ASCII aims to provide decision-makers in politics, administration and business with solid data and thus to serve as the first point of contact for the analysis, evaluation and creation of recommendations for action in time-critical and complex issues involving value added chains.

ASCII is funded by the federal ministry of labour and economic affairs and the state of Upper Austria. (ben)
