Renault strengthens position in turbulent market

Renault Trucks closed the year 2022 with a total volume of 58,967 vehicles invoiced – an increase of 15%. The French manufacturer managed to strengthen its position in a turbulent European market characterised by severe disruptions in the supply chain.

In the over-16 t segment in Europe, Renault Trucks saw the number of registrations rise in 19 countries. The overall market share in this segment increased by 0.6% and now stands at 9. 4%. In the segment of vehicles from 6 t to 16 t, the manufacturer achieved a market share of 7% (-0. 3%).

In the upper and middle series, Renault recorded a significant increase in performance in several European countries, such as Central/Eastern Europe (+41%) and Germany (+40%). In France, Renault Trucks consolidated its dominant position with a market share of 29.4%.

The commercial vehicle market also recorded strong growth, particularly in Belgium (+23%) and UK & Ireland (+22%). These improved results in the traditional model series enable Renault Trucks to continue its transition to electromobility as planned, the manufacturer said. (ben)
