Refurbished rail terminal will load 48 railcars daily
The Texas Deepwater Deer Park Terminal (USA) has signed a lease agreement with Shell to retrofit and refurbish the Deer Park Rail Terminal (DPRT) in order to load refined products on the Houston ship channel.
When the project is completed, the DPRT will be able to load up to 48 railcars per day, or 33,000 barrels of refined products per day, which will service the railcar loading rack.
The facility is equipped with two operational tanks with 50,000 barrels of total storage capacity. The renovated terminal is expected to go on stream during the second quarter of 2019. (ben)
