Recht Logistik: cartons instead of plastic
Recht Logistik will be ordering 50,000 storage boxes for its contract logistics division in 2023. The boxes will replace the previous plastic boxes and will be used for picking goods from selected e-commerce customers.
"In the future, the display boxes will be used as needed at all twelve locations of the Recht Logistik Group," said managing partners Navid Thielemann and Christian Flick.
Sebastian Welp, who founded the start-up Lagerkarton 2022, is delighted with the order. His company sells 80,000 display boxes per month to customers in ten countries.
Compared to plastic crates, the production of the 50,000 storage cartons saves more than 150,000 kg of CO2. Moreover, trucks can transport more than 13,000 folded storage cartons, but less than 1,000 plastic crates. The alternative saves almost three quarters of the purchase costs. (mk)
